Are we allowed to blow our own trumpet at La Fenętre ? Count the portraits ... more than 50 authors ... all for your enjoyment in this "Summer Magic" edition!

Even though we are a few days late in publishing, we've also managed to increase our content by 25% and make the web site more interesting and informative - try hitting your browser's refresh button whilst on this page or on our Main Index Page.

The resulting printed version as a consequence is even bigger, more enriching, longer lasting, a treasure for your bookcase. We hope you will support our efforts by buying a copy.

All we children (young and old) will delight in the wonderful Children's Corner in this edition. A lovely tale with a moral and a twist in the tail awaits at the end of this link to The Princess Who Loved Baths by Mercedes Lawry

You may, or may not agree with him, but Al Ferber certainly has a strong poetic way of telling us he will no longer hold The Line.

Rama Devi’s poignant poem tells us about the Art of Dying and perhaps provides us with a philosophy, that will help us face the inevitable moment we all encounter.

All our poet Garry Jones wants is a kiss ... read all about it in Redemption.

This edition features the work of several authors who previously had only appeared in our Audio readings corner. We welcome Karen Mossman, David Gardiner and Steve Woollard

They say that High Definition TV shows up all the wrinkles and normally hidden bits ... just wait until you have read author Juliet O’Callaghan's brilliantly insightful Mr. and Mrs. 21st Century and you'll understand that there's also a written equivalent!

To lighten the mood you are guaranteed a chuckle from A Dog Named Sex by Carl Palmer

There are many things Taylor Graham does not do, but is one of them Sleeping with Ghosts ? Why don’t you find out?

If you like washing dishes (who does?) you will enjoy John Magee’s Watching the Dishes while he is washing them....

Let Kitty-Louise Crossingham take you on a trip in her Carton Boat and you will probably end up wishing you were a kid again....

Richard Storey’s soulful moaning of a lonely saxophone, bodies in a squirming interlude, bebop and blues, they all provide us with Jazzy Dancing in the Cavern … and more

You'll have to decide for yourself whether you feel that Sheila made a mistake, when you read The Donkey Driver's Wife in this edition's Prose selection. A disconcerting tale penned by Sally Quilford.

If you are anything like me (who shall be nameless) Rianda Dae Sanchez brings tears to my eyes with her heartfelt poem Silent Night, Violent Night ... it is a really moving experience to read her words, I can thouroughly recommend the read. Now, where's my hanky....

Vic Fortezza challenged himself to write a piece of prose in nothing but dialogue and in Layers succeeded admirably in doing so....

A useful SITE INDEX MAP can now be accessed from this link.

May, 2007

And another hearty Welcome back to each and every one of you, our faithful readers, and if this is the first time you are reading through the write window: La Fenętre Magazine is an International Literary Magazine, on line and also in printed form.

We, Allen Ansell (Webmaster and Technical Wizard) and Deborah Rey (WebMissus and Chief Editor), are proud to present the third edition of La Fenętre Magazine, ‘Summer Magic’.

Being a two-man team and literarily inundated with submissions, we had to postpone the publishing date of this issue a few weeks, but now we present you with a magazine that harbours even more authors and their work, with an even wider range of subjects, and an even thicker printed copy.

May heralds the approach of Summer, June gives us longer days still, July and August mean going on holiday, or just doing nothing at home, so … why not make sure you have a copy of ‘Summer Magic’ at hand? Its contents are a joy to read, wherever you may be.

How to purchase a printed copy? Click on the 'L/F' icon in the menu bar and … voilŕ, there it is, or rather, there they are, all three of them: Clean Glass (reprint is in stock), Spring Clean (in stock), and Summer Magic (available soon). Take your pick (or take them all). And, by the way, this is also meant for the authors published in those issues!

You want to join us? Our round table is a large one and expands each and every day; there is enough place for all of you, both novice and experienced authors. You can join us by clicking on that lovely 'S' (for Submissions) icon and following the Submission Guidelines.

Want to tell us you like the Magazine? We DO have a Guestbook, you know. Hint? Yes! We like hearing from our writers and readers... very much!

May our Poetry section bring you many Roses, may Prose allow you to meet a magical Unicorn, and may our younger readers enjoy a trip into the woods today ... oops ...sorry, we've got teddy bears on our minds ... we meant, enjoy romping around in our Children’s (Young People’s) Corner.

Happy writing. Happy Reading. May your Summer be filled with Summer Magic.

Fenętrement yours,

Allen Ansell and Deborah Rey.

We think that is fair, don't you? We'll share our popularity if you'll share yours. Please contact us by email for details of how you can link back to La Fenętre.
