La Fenêtre - reading through the write window
Author's biography:
Born in 1960, just an Edmonton walk away from his beloved Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, Steve is single and lives a few miles north of the M25, in the small town of Ware, in Hertfordshire. He has been writing poetry and the odd quirky article/story for many years and has appeared in several magazines and anthologies. He has enjoyed occasional successes in poetry competitions, most notably the £2000 first prize in the 1999 Coventry Poetry Prize Competition, and much of his writing can be found at www.ukauthors.com, where he exists as 'pencilcase'.

‘Spend It Like Beckham’ is an example of his humorous verse, but he writes in different styles about many things - ranging from the deadly serious to the downright frivolous. His current concerns include the parlous state of international affairs, whether or not the planet he lives on has a viable future, and the fact that he can’t remember where he put the other half of his duvet. You can help by reading/listening to his poem. He’d like that.
