Simon Murphy was born in 1971 in Batley, West Yorkshire and has never strayed from the rolling hills. He shares his home with his wife Joanne, and son Daniel. He currently works as a school support and as a lunchtime supervisor/play co-ordinator, and likes nothing more than to relax by doing nothing. Before he took up writing, his main hobby was playing the drums in various bands, unfortunately they never got anywhere and he didn't make a fortune; lots of beer and fun was had, though! He has been writing, on and off, for the past seven years, with two fictional novels and poems published in various anthologies to his name. No matter what people say, he still refuses to accept that he is an author and reckons to be 'just having a go'.
